The Irate Gamer show began in 2007 on YouTube. It featured host Chris Bores following the popular online trend at the time of gamers tearing apart and reviewing retro video games. The channel exploded in popularity and grew to become the 55th most subscribed channel in 2010. The show captured the attention of many video game companies including Atari who at one point were in talks of featuring him in a commercial. Even documentary makers included him in ET Game Over. Yes the show has had its fair share of critics over the years, but there were enough die-hard fans coming back for more that kept the show alive and even helped bring it back from its 2016 retirement.
